Brenda Lee

On May 18, 2024, Brenda Lee passed away peacefully and joined her husband of 52 years, Robert E. Lee Jr (Bob Lee), in the presence of Jesus. Bob preceded Brenda in death on July 30, 2022.

After graduation, both Bob and Brenda joined the U.S. Air Force-Bob a fighter pilot and Brenda a flight nurse. They met and fell in love in the Philippines while serving in the Vietnam War and married on March 26, 1971.

Bob remained in the Air Force 20 years, while Brenda chose to stay at home and raise their two children. After retiring from the military, Bob continued his lifelong love of flying at American Airlines and settled his family in Texas. Brenda later began a new career, this time in dental hygiene and also became highly involved as a group leader in Bible Study Fellowship for many years as well.

Both Bob and Brenda exuded a warmth and genuineness that could be felt by all. They were undoubtedly the love of each others’ lives and cared deeply for each other and those they loved. Bob’s contagious laughter and fun personality, not only made him a kid magnet, but also a joy to be around. He complimented perfectly with Brenda’s softer and compassionate demeanor alongside her smile that could light up a room. She was a woman who loved life, her family, her friends, and most of all, Jesus. He was a man of strong work ethics, put family first in all he did, and never hesitated to help a neighbor.
They will be greatly missed by all whose lives they touched this side of heaven.

Bob and Brenda are survived by their daughter, Lana Carter, their son, Ted Lee (Nichole Lee), all of Cumming, GA, and 6 grandchildren, Ben Carter, Emelise Carter, Isaac Carter, Blake Lee, Emery Lee, and Elliana Lee, Bob’s brother Jim Lee, and Brenda’s sister Nancy Rippy, and numerous other dear family members and friends.

On September 16, 2024, their lives will be honored with a National Guard Ceremony at 10am at the Georgia National Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at the reception hall of McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA.
