Bob Skelton

Robert Bob Alexander Skelton, 73, of Gainesville, GA died on March 26, 2010. Born in Jackson, MS, he was the son of the late Horace and Ludie Skelton. His faithful companion, Shadow, also predeceased him. Bob graduated from UGA and retired from Georgia State University. A member of First Redeemer Church, he was a dedicated Christian who loved serving as a Gideon. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Denise Skelton of Gainesville, GA; son, Rob Skelton of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Ann (Bill) Spencer of Athens, GA and Shari (Billy) English of Macon, GA; stepson, Chris Matthews of Costa Rica; and grandchildren, Chris and Kim Spencer, Whitney Skelton and Ryan Matthews. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, March 29, 2010 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 pm, prior to the service.
