Blake Dominguez

–

Canton, Georgia

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Blake Dean Dominguez, a loving and loyal son, brother, and grandson. Blake was born on May 19, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, and resided in Canton, Georgia. A courageous and resilient spirit, he left us too soon on August 24, 2024. His early departure from this world is a stark reminder of the truth in the words of poet John Keats, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever: its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness."

Blake was a remarkable young man, known for his tremendous courage and resilience. He served as a Combat Engineer in the United States Marine Corps, a testament to his bravery and dedication to his country. In his work, Blake proved himself to be a leader of unwavering loyalty and strength. His love for his family and his country were the cornerstones of his life. As Albert Schweitzer once said, "The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve."

Blake is survived by his mother, Crystal Dominguez; brothers Destin, Tyler, and Zack Dominguez; sister Claudia Rediger; brother Drew Rediger; sister Daylen Rediger; step-mother Angela Dominguez; step-father Darrell Rediger; and grandmothers Elizabeth Miller and Bobby Dominguez. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jr., and his grandparents Bruce Smothers and Denise Palmer.

We invite you to leave memories, tributes, on Blake's memorial page, to celebrate the life of this extraordinary young man who touched our lives with his courage, loyalty, and love. Though Blake's body has left us, his spirit continues to inspire and guide us, just as a lighthouse stands resolute amid the storm, guiding ships safely to harbor. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate his life and the precious memories he has left behind.
