Billy George Whitlow

Billy G Whitlow, 80, of Cumming died on May 23, 2024 after a long battle with numerous health issues. He was born on February 18, 1944 in Charleston, SC to the late E.B. and Louise Whitlow. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sally B. Whitlow, his two sons Ken (Dawn) Whitlow and Steve Whitlow, and his two grandsons Chad Whitlow and Brice Whitlow, all of Cumming. He is also survived by his siblings Elouise (Ronald) Daniel of St. Augustine, Roy (Jean) Whitlow of Cumming, and Jimmy (Joanne) Whitlow of Marietta. He was also known as Papa Pancakes for making the best pancakes for his grandsons every Saturday morning.

Billy attended Murphy and Stone Mountain High School. He was a varsity letterman in three sports and had a special passion for basketball. Billy retired from AT&T after 38 years of service. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing. He is remembered as the best boss ever, the sweetest man you could meet, one of the best men I have ever known, a one-of-a-kind.

He was a devoted husband, a great dad (and father-in-law), a wonderful grandfather, and a very special friend. He had a deep love for his family and Jesus. He was a true servant in every way and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 12:00pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia, 30040. A memorial service will follow at the same location at 1:00pm. Please join us as we celebrate and remember the beautiful life of Billy.
