Billy Montgomery

Billy Montgomery, a loving and spirited soul, journeyed to his eternal home on February 12, 2025, after 88 years of a life well-lived. Born on July 28, 1936, in Monroe, NC, Billy radiated compassion and humility throughout his lifetime. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, providing him with a sense of purpose and inspiring those fortunate enough to cross his path.

Billy spent his life in service to others, first as a devoted son to Ney and Velma Montgomery, and later as a dedicated husband to Patricia Montgomery. Billy's humble spirit touched not only his immediate family but extended to his son Robbie (Beth) Tarczynski, daughters Debbie Glass, Pam Montgomery, and Cheryl (Chris) Garrett, and his sister Francis (Kenneth) Batson. He was a beloved uncle to Tracy Williams and Marty Batson, a cherished grandfather to Nicholas (Paige) Glass and Justin Kendrick, and a doting great-grandfather to Caroline and Ava. Each of them was profoundly influenced by Billy's unwavering faith and enduring love. Other nieces and nephews also survive. Billy now joins his parents Ney "Tom" and Velma, his sister Linda Carucci, and step-son Alan Tarczynski, in peaceful rest.

Billy spent his years in Cumming, Georgia, where he was a beacon of spirituality in his community. His retired years were filled with acts of service and unconditional love, living the words of Mother Teresa, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." As we remember Billy, we recommit ourselves to his life's philosophy of love, compassion, and humility.
