Billy Bentley, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Dawsonville, Georgia. Born on April 17, 1933, in Norcross, Georgia, Billy lived a long and meaningful life rooted in dedication to family, hard work, and quiet strength.
A devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather, Billy—known affectionately as Bill—was a man of few words whose actions spoke volumes. His steadfast presence and unwavering support left a lasting mark on those who knew him.
Bill retired from Ford Motor Company after more than 30 years of dedicated service. His work ethic and commitment were hallmarks of his character—traits that he carried into every aspect of his life. Whether at work or at home, he led by example with hard work and integrity.
Beyond his professional life, Bill had a deep appreciation for history and sentimentality. He was an avid antiques collector with a particular fondness for items that held personal meaning. From vintage automobiles to treasured pieces of literature, his collections reflected not only his interests but also the memories they preserved. Among his most cherished possessions were his mother’s metal porch chairs, old newspapers from important events and a 90 year old rocking chair—simple objects engrained with the warmth of childhood memories.
