Betty Harris

Betty Hue Harris (Thomas) of Cumming, GA, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025.

She was born on May 30, 1938 in Cumming, GA, she attended school at Chestatee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Nina Thomas, her husband Wilburn E Harris, her brother Sonny Thomas, her sister Edwina (Sis) Pruitt and brother in law Paul Pruit, her great grandson Payton Lindsey, and her longtime partner, Richard LaValley.

She is survived by her son Phil (Trisha) Harris of Dawsonville, daughter Teresa (Marty) Cole of Cumming. Grandchildren, Joe (Amanda) Harris, Jamie (Ashley) Harris, Lindsey (Chris) Moore, Nikkie Harris, Garrett (Courtney) Harris, David (Christy) Harris, 15 great grandchildren and sister in law Dot Thomas.

She was a housewife most of her life, however, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling and watching local sports.

Service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held the same day Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 1:00pm
