Betty Mercer Keown

Betty Mercer Keown, beloved widow, mother, grandmother, and sister died peacefully after her battle with cancer on October 2, 2016 in Cumming, GA at the age of 74.

Betty is survived by her two children, April Keown McDowell and Bobby Keown of Cumming, GA; one grandson, Sean McDowell of Cumming, GA; three sisters: Lorna Robinson of Shelbyville, KY, Janet Shrewsbury of McQuady, KY, Pam Taul of McQuady, KY and her brother, Burns Mercer of Hardinsburg, KY. She is preceded in death by her father, Ed Mercer and mother, Kathryn Mercer of Hardinsburg, KY, and her husband, Bill Keown, who passed in 2003.

Betty was born on November 30, 1941 in Hardinsburg, KY. She is a graduate of Breckingridge County High School in Hardinsburg.

A funeral is scheduled for in Cumming, GA on October 5th, 2016 at Lanier United Methodist Church at 4 PM EST and at Cave Spring United Methodist Church in Westview, KY on October 8th, 2016 at 10:30 CST, both with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty's life.
