Betty Cain

Betty Lou Cain, 80 of Dahlonega passed away on Tuesday December 26th, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Pearl Armstrong Rice; sister, Judy Hester; step-brother, Dean Rice; step-sisters, Annie Bell Milsaps and Cora Mae Poore; son-in-law, Greg Butler.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Bruce Cain, Dahlonega; daughter, Sandy Butler, Dahlonega; son, Dale Cain, Blairsville; grandsons, Brett (Amanda) Butler, Dahlonega; Cody (Megan) Butler, Dahlonega; Dylan Cain, Dawsonville; granddaughter, Ashley (Correy) Hamill, Dawsonville; great-grandchildren, Ella-Kate and Kollyns Butler, Dahlonega; Amelia and Cooper Hamill, Dawsonville. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins survive.

Betty Lou was a seamstress, a housewife, a wonderful cook and a good friend to all those who knew her. Her passion were her grandkids and great-grandkids, her flowers and her family.

At her request she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 29th, 2023 with visitation from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and the service in the chapel of Dahlonega Funeral Home at 4:00 PM. Nick Rice, her nephew, will officiate.
