Betty Bates

Betty Ruth Bates 78, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

Betty was a member of New Light Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her husband William Bates, of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Children; William A. Bates of Mesa, Arizona; and Deborah Lynn Bates Courtney of Cumming, Georgia.

Sister; Anna Jean Newton of Fredericktown, OH

Grandchildren; Sarah Bates, David Bates, Jeremy Diedrick, and Jessica Courtney.

Great grandchildren; Nate Diedrick, Sammy Diedrick, and Elijah Elzey.

Betty is preceded in death by her brother Earlie J Combs of Fredericktown, OH and half sisters Elizabeth Irene Randall of Mt. Vernon, OH and Mary Alice Gobble of Johnson City, TN

Entombment will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Georgia.

A celebration of life will take place at McDonald and Son Funeral Home on a later date.
