Betsy Jones

Betsy Terwilliger Jones passed away on Monday, April 29th after a long battle with
cancer. She was 65 years old. Betsy leaves behind a loving husband Richard Jones and an
adoring daughter Aja Terwilliger, a mother, two brothers and her two dogs Piper and Olga and
many friends. Betsy grew up in New England where she developed a love of nature and
animals. She graduated from Simon's Rock Early College at the age of 19. Betsy was an
accomplished equestrian and taught riding as a young adult. Her daughter remembers life in
many different stables, arenas and pastures with Betsy’s beloved horse, Lorraine. Betsy
received her Masters degree in Education and went on to become a highly talented and well
respected teacher of learning disabled students in Alpharetta, Ga. Betsy will be remembered for
her boundless optimism and infectious laugh that would bring joy to everyone’s heart.
