Bethel Mae Fairbanks Lewis

Memorial service and life celebration for Bethel Mae Fairbanks Lewis, 89, of Cumming, GA and Dania FL will be Saturday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m. at New Friendship Cemetery in Somerville, AL, with Reverends Mark and Kerry Ozbolt officiating. Bethel, who died on October 18, 2010, was born in Albany, AL on October 31, 1920 to the late James John David Fairbanks and Haddie Hudie Thornhill Fairbanks. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Omal Houser, Lois Nichols, Lindell West; and her brothers; Cleon Fairbanks, C.B. Fairbanks, James Fairbanks, Clyde Williams and Grover Junior Williams. Bethel s death marks the end of a generation. She is survived by her son, Wayne and Jane Jones of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Daughter, Madalyn and Steve Southard of Jonesboro, GA; daughter, Barbara and Johnny Roper of Cumming, GA; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and life-long friends who will miss her exuberant presence and boisterous laughter greatly.
