Bernie Kersh

Bernie Wayne Kersh, age 62, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025.

Born on February 27, 1963, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Bernie lived a life full of warmth, joy, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He was a deeply caring man, dedicated to his family and friends above all else.

Bernie never met a stranger—he was truly fun-loving, and his smile and laughter were contagious. He was humorous, always joking around with family and friends. He loved his NASCAR, football, and baseball—especially UGA, Mississippi State, and the Atlanta Braves.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhonda Kersh; his sons, Zackery Kersh (wife Jhoana), Brett Kersh (wife Jessica), and Peyton Evans (wife Danielle); his grandchildren, Zackery, Olivia, Grayden, Hartley, and Stoney; his stepdaughter, Kari McDuffie (husband Justin McDuffie); his step-granddaughter, Haleigh Pennington; and his brothers, Michael Kersh and Paige Kersh.

Bernie was preceded in death by his father, W.C. Kersh; his mother, Ouida Kersh; and his brother, David Kersh.

He will be greatly missed, leaving an irreplaceable void and a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Bernie’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 3:00PM-5:00PM, at Cleveland Funeral Home.
