Bernice M. Germinario

Bernice M. Germinario, 82, of Cumming, GA passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Born in Islip, NY she is predeceased by her husband, Philip Germinario; parents, William and Elizabeth Bennison; brother, Martin J. Bennison. She is survived by her son, Mark (Annette) Germinario of Denver, CO; daughter, Mary Beth (John) Brady of Cumming, GA; son, Michael (Lauren) Germinario of Ashburn, VA; brother, William M. (Delores) Bennison of NY; sister, Elizabeth Couch of Carrolton, GA; sister, Ann Marie (Philip) Pavona of FL; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Bernice resided in Babylon, Long Island, NY for 65 years where she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for 30 years. Both her and her husband , Philip, were active for many years at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, and American Legion Post 94. After moving to Cumming, GA in 1995, Bernice became active at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, American Legion Post 307 and volunteered for over 15 years at Northside Forsyth Hospital. She was recognized as Women of the Year in Forsyth County in 2003. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming, GA. Fr. Frank Richardson will conduct the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 9:00 with Rosary at 8:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2012 at McDonald & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 10:00 AM on Monday at GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations in Bernice s honor to the Northside Hospital Forsyth Scholarship Fund or Good Shepherd Catholic Church Building Expansion Fund.
