Cumming, Georgia

Barbara Lane Andrews, 87, of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 11th, 2023.

Barbara was born on February 15th, 1936, in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Robert and Lillian Marchant. She was a beautiful, kind, and faithful woman who was deeply devoted to her family. She adored her late husband, Ron Andrews, who went to be with the Lord in 2020. Married for 39 years, Ron and Barbara enjoyed countless adventures together and danced every chance they could.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her dear sister, Marileen Marchant Bowers.

Barbara left an enormous imprint and treasured her position as the matriarch of her family. She consistently encouraged those around her to always try their best, be content with what they have, and to trust that the Lord will always guide their path. She enjoyed afternoon "tea parties," sitting in the sunshine, and spending time with her sweet dog, Precious. She took so much joy in spending time with her family and cherished every moment.

She is survived by her four children Bobby Bryde (Lisa), Cindy Kniep (Bobby), Bruce Bryde (Kathi), and Christy Crawford (Ben); nine grandchildren Jessica Plouff (Ryan), Caitlin Bryde, Kim Hahn (Mike), Brittany Bentley (Travis), Karlee Middlebrooks (Grayson), Kyle Bryde, Trent Bryde, Selah Crawford, and Calen Beasley (Travis); nine great-grandchildren Addi and Ella Plouff, Hunter and Riley Hahn, Lilly and Penelope Bentley, Harlynn, Hensley, and TJ Beasley.
