Arthur Gerald Eypel, 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 9, 2026. Born on June 24, 1945, Arthur was the son of the late Arthur Eypel and Geraldean Dixon Eypel.
Arthur grew up in Delray Beach and Miami Beach during its golden years. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and South Florida remained an important part of his life for more than seven decades.
Arthur is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Nancy; his sister-in-law, Jill Linfert; and his brother-in-law, David Michael Linfert.
Arthur and Nancy made their home in Highland Beach, Florida, where they spent more than 20 years working side by side as a top-producing luxury real estate team in Boca Raton. Their professional partnership was also a reflection of Arthur’s remarkable ability to connect with people. His extensive knowledge of South Florida—the people, the communities, and the towns he had known since childhood—made him a trusted advisor to his clients. Many of those clients became cherished friends, relationships that continued long after the business was done.
Arthur’s passions included exotic cars, and catamaran sailing, and he was an expert in both. He took great pleasure in sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge with others. He kept his catamaran on the beach in front of his Highland Beach home, where he and Nancy enjoyed the beauty of life on the ocean. They also loved power boating and frequently traveled by boat to enjoy dinner at one of South Florida’s many waterfront restaurants.
Arthur was also deeply involved in his community and local politics. He served for many years as an elected Commissioner in Highland Beach, dedicating his time and energy to the community he loved.
After many wonderful years in Highland Beach, Arthur and Nancy relocated to Atlanta to be closer to Nancy’s family.
But perhaps what Arthur will be remembered for most was the way he made people feel. Arthur never knew a stranger. Voted “Most Friendly” in high school, he carried that same warmth throughout his entire life. He had a genuine interest in people and an extraordinary ability to make everyone he met feel welcome, valued, and at ease.
Arthur was a skilled raconteur with the gift of gab and a seemingly endless supply of fascinating stories and engaging tales. He loved to entertain friends and clients alike with stories of South Florida, its colorful characters, and the places he had known since
he was five years old. His humor, warmth, and storytelling made him unforgettable to those who knew him.
Above all, Arthur dearly loved his wife, Nancy. Even after nearly 40 years of marriage, he would proudly introduce her as his “bride.” Their love and devotion to one another were evident to everyone who knew them.
Arthur was a loving and devoted husband, a loyal friend, a community leader, and a man who brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. He will be missed terribly by Nancy and by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His stories, his friendships, his adventurous spirit, and his generous heart will live on in the memories of those he leaves behind. Arthur will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
