Annie Lee King

Annie Lee King, 83, of Johns Creek, GA died at Emory Johns Creek Hospital on October 11, 2011. Born in St. Clair Springs, AL, she was the daughter of the late William and Maudie Jones. Her beloved husband, John Herndon King, Jr. also predeceased her. A teacher for all of her life, Annie served most of her career as a professor at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, AL. She moved to Georgia 12 years ago and was a member of Grace Fellowship of South Forsyth. She was a loving mother and grandmother her children arise and call her blessed. She is survived by her children, John (Jann) King of Denver, CO, Lee Anne (David) Adams of Birmingham, AL, Paul (Tammy) King of Cumming, GA and Donna (Eric) Farr of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Robert, Chris, Drew, Elizabeth, Haley, Jonathan, Joshua, Savannah, Emily, Austin, Elise and Joseph. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 15, 2001 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow on Saturday, October 15 at 5:00 pm (CDT) at Sunrise Memory Gardens in Pinson, AL. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14 from 6:00 9:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Annie s memory to Grace Fellowship of South Forsyth, 1389 Weber Industrial Drive, Cumming, GA 30041.
