Anne Reynolds Williams
10/30/39-5/10/24
It is with heavy heart to announce that Anne R. Williams died on May 10, 2024 from an ongoing
battle with dementia/alzheimers. Anne was born in Portland, OR into a military family. Her early
years were spent in Oregon and she was in Austria, Germany and Switzerland for her high
school years. While in school at Maryland University she attended an officers ball where she
met and later married her first husband Major Williams H Williams (Deceased 1993). Anne
married Robert Tillitt in 1998 and sadly he passed two years later. In 2003 Anne married Hoy
Williams. After Hoy passed away Anne focused on family. Anne has two children and is
survived by son William H Williams Jr., and daughter Katherine W. Hawk, as well as a combined
total thru marriage 9 children, 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Anne was the
consummate volunteer, whether it was Army Community Services, The American Red Cross,
Cumming First United Methodist Church or P.E.O., she graciously gave herself to that cause.
Anne was also a business woman having owned a Hallmark Card And Gift Store and later
turned that into an additional 25 year career with Hallmark Corporation. Anne Williams was, and
is in our hearts, an amazing woman who handled the end of life with dignity, class and grace.
We ask in lieu of flowers please make a donation to either The Alzheimer's Association or your
local P.E.O. chapter. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00am on June 7, 2024 at
Cumming First United Methodist Church 770 Canton Highway Cumming Ga, 30044
Please wear bright colors and bring festive glasses as this was one of Anne's favorite things to
do.
