Ann Johns

Ann Johns of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on July 5, 2023.

Shirley Ann Jarrett Johns was born on May 2, 1936 to Lloyd and Effie Lee Jarrett in Atlanta, Georgia. She met her husband, Martin Johns, when she was a student at Fulton High School. They married August 8, 1954. They lived in Dekalb County, Georgia where they raised their two sons. Ann worked as a sales representative for several trucking companies and was one of the first women in the Atlanta area to do so. They later retired and moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia to their dream house with a spectacular view of the mountains.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Martin. She will be dearly missed by her children, oldest son Gary (Lou Ann), of Cumming, and her youngest son, Paul (Teressa) of Bogart, Ga. along with her four grandchildren, Chris (Haley) of Watkinsville, Ga, Ashley (Danny) of Denver, CO, and Miranda & Caroline, of New York City, NY along with her great-grandchildren, Noah, Madison and Dylan.

A graveside service will be held at Eton Cemetery in Chatsworth, Georgia, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2:00PM.
