Angela Dee Clark peacefully departed her earthly body on the morning of February 2, 2024, leaving her family profoundly saddened and shocked by the unexpected loss. She was 62 years old.
Angela is survived by her loving son, Tyler Clark (Katie), father, Clyde Clark Jr., older sister Tina Yeakos, two younger sisters, Amber Clark (Jared), and Crystal Day (Billy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is predeceased by her mother, Judith Ann Clark, brother, Aron Cody Clark, and stepmother, Mary Devore Clark.
Angela was born on January 11, 1962 in Hialeah, Florida. She spent her childhood in sunny South Florida. In the mid 1980’s, she settled in the Ocala area where her mother resided and began working in the medical field. On June 7, 1995, she gave birth to her son, Tyler Lee, and he became her everything.
After Angela’s mother passed away in 2006, she and Tyler relocated to Dahlonega to be closer to family. The best years of her life were spent in Dahlonega where she continued to raise her son as a single parent. She often said it was the best decision she ever made.
Tyler thrived at Lumpkin County High School performing as a drummer in the marching band, and Angela fervently supported him, knowing he was destined for greater things. As Tyler followed his dreams to California, drumming for the band “Nerv,” Angela remained a beacon of unwavering support from afar. She was able to fly out to California to watch the band record music videos and perform live. She most recently saw him on tour in South Carolina. Angela was, without question, Nerv’s biggest fan. Nerv dedicated their Atlanta set to Angela on the night of her death.
Angela owned a successful cleaning business and had made many good friends over the years. Second only to her devotion to her son was her love of animals. Anyone who truly knew Angela knew her boundless love for her four-legged companions. Her very last Facebook post reflected just that. She was an advocate for animal rescue and often helped to rehome local pets or make donations to nearby shelters.
There will be a simple gathering of remembrance for Angela at her home, this Saturday, February 10th at 2 p.m. for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to TLC Humane Society in Lumpkin County, Georgia in Angela’s honor, ensuring that her legacy of love for animals endures.
