Andy Anderson

William Robert "Andy" Anderson 72, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 16th, 2025.

Andy served our Country as a U.S. Army Ranger from 1972 to 1980. Upon getting a degree in criminal justice at North Georgia State University he worked in public service for various Forsyth and Hall County departments.

He served as Forsyth County Commissioner from 1996 to 2000.

He was married to Susan Singleton for 42 years and was a devoted husband and father.

Andy is preceded in death by his Father-Robert Wallace Anderson and sister Jacqueline Joy Normand.

He is survived by his Mother-Beryl Elise Anderson and brother-Robert William Anderson.
He is survived by his children, John Christopher Anderson, San Diego, California and Michael Joseph Anderson, Pleasant Garden, North Carolina.
Several nieces and nephews in Sweden and California.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home from 2:00pm-4:00pm.

A private family service will be held on a later date.
