Cumming, Georgia
Afagh Nadafian Badiee of Cumming, Georgia, whose radiant soul peacefully took flight into the next realm on (Saturday, April 4th), was born in the small town of Ghamsar, Iran, the youngest of five children, with three sisters and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nematollah. She is survived by her children, Roya (Rick) and Ramin (Winnie), and her four cherished grandchildren: Daniel, Seraj, David, and Micah.
In 1994, Afagh moved to the United States and made Georgia her home. She was a devoted and active member of the Bahá’í community both in Iran and in the U.S., serving on various committees and helping organize classes and conferences. She generously opened her home for children’s classes and continued her lifelong commitment to service and community building.
Despite enduring many hardships—including imprisonment in Iran due to her faith and the loss of her father at a young age—Afagh remained steadfast in her beliefs. With a resilient spirit, deep faith, and a warm, welcoming heart, she touched the lives of many and formed lasting friendships wherever she lived.
Her love, kindness, and radiant spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
